The Surreal View of New York City
While looking down at Manhattan, a strange sense of peace overwhelms me
Being away from the rushed cabs and loud sounds puts me at ease
I smile at the site of the amazing gigantic buildings and the serene Manhattan skyline
As one walks down the avenues, urgency and anxiety seem to kick in
Over thinking what needs to be done, and worrying about time takes over
But seeing that surreal view from the above makes me grateful and in love with New York City
Peace does exist from a different aspect of New York
Taking it in without being in it makes it that more amazing of a city
New York City is the valve that keeps the state alive
No matter what age, race or gender one may be
Experiencing the uniqueness of the area will surely make one's life complete
Beyond the hectic vibe, lies an authenticity that can't be explained
There is absolutely no other place like this....
Next time you visit, try and see beyond the chaos...and you will find the better view
